1. Domain names

Have you registered any domain names for your website? Please supply details. If you need domain names registered please supply details.

2. Web hosting

Do you want your new site hosted by CS One? If not where do you want your new site hosted? Please supply details.

3. Existing website

If you currently have a website please provide the URL (web address) and rate it on a scale of 1-10 detailing what are your likes and dislikes.

4. New website

Please supply a list of sections and features – supply a site-map if possible. What are the key objectives of the new website.

5. Type of website

Describe the type of website you require: Brochure (promotion online), eCommerce (shop – selling securely online), Database driven (backend functionality).

6. Your company

Has your company got a corporate identity and can you provide digital artwork for your logo? Please supply any marketing material that you currently have.

7. Text

Are you able to supply the text (words) for the website? Please supply as a Word Doc. If you can’t supply the text do you need assistance with writing the pages?

8. Photographs & graphics

Can you supply photographs and graphics for the site? – Provide details. Remember you need to either own or have permission to use photographs and graphics on your site otherwise you may infringe copyright. If you need photography/graphics please supply details.

9. Web legals

Have you any Terms & Conditions of Business, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy etc as digital files? You will need these on the website. Please supply as a Word Doc. If you can’t supply do you need assistance?

10. Your likes & dislikes

Make a short list of URL’s (website addresses) you admire not necessarily in your industry. Also make a short list of sites you dislike preferably in your industry.

11. About you

Are you the main decision maker for the website or are decisions made by committee. Has your company an IT Manager or an IT consultant? Please supply contact details.

12. Your budget

£1,000-£5,000, £5,000-£10,000, £10,000-£20,000, £20,000+

The process.

Step 1. Briefing.

You can email us, call us, or arrange to visit us at our studio at Tonge Mill, meet the team and discuss your project.

You may already have a detailed plan of what you require or you might want a bit of creative input – whatever you need, we can discuss it over a cuppa and come up with a plan. We can also show you lots of examples of our work, which might give you some new ideas.

Step 2. Estimating.

The next stage is where we give you a written estimate. Quite often we can provide this on the same day. If you’ve got a budget in mind, let us know right from the start, so that we know what we’re working with.

You might be pleasantly surprised – a website doesn’t have to have a huge budget to make a big impact.

Step 3. Commissioning.

Commissioning comes next. If you’re happy with the estimate and with our proposals, we can get going. A simple exchange of paperwork is all we need to formalise the agreement.

The design process. The work will be scheduled into production and we will keep in touch through every stage of design, so that you end up with a website you can be proud to show off.

Step 4. The exciting bit.

Finally, completion. Towards the end of the project, we’ll ask you to sign off the work. Outstanding accounts will be settled, your project will be completed, backed up and filed.
